I am shortly off for another photographic project in the Philippines. I went to Manila, amongst there places, last year, and I again want to stay some days there and photograph different sides of the city. I am keen to visit Tondo and document some of the living conditions there, as I want to show all sides of life in the Philippines. I am aware of the reputation of the area. Having photographed and visited slums and shanty towns in various parts of South East Asia before, I know the only way to photograph properly is with a good local guide, with local connections. I am wondering if any of the filipino posters here, or photographers who have visited Philippines, know of such a person and can advise me, whether here or by PM.
