Hello Guys,
I need some help on fill flash. The G2 manual tells that the exposure compensation dial is coupled with flash compensation while doing fill flash. However, when I try this, while the flash unit is on TTL mode, while turning the dial the shutter speed changes too. This means that I would get under or overexposed background. Fine I thought and switched on to exposure lock but than again the shutter speed changed.
Can you give me some thoughts how to have a good flash compensation?
I have been using my G2 for a couple of years and I am happy with the results on ambient light but flash photography and fill flash especially gives me a headache.
Thanks a lot,
László Németh

Forget exposure compensation, although that works with AE lock.
Use manual exposure and then the exp.comp. dial to regulate the flash output.

with flash off, measure exposure and lock it with AEL, then switch flash on TTL, the exposure comp wheel now regulates the output from the flash.

dirtyblues, that's where manual exposure is more convenient than autoexposure
