The light meter on my Leicaflex SL just went off the charts. No matter what ISO setting i use, the needle goes to the bottom of the scale. Just spent $$ on shutter repair (no regrets...first time expense on this body). Do i pay to have the meter repaired? I will not DIY this.... Your vote? Suggested max budget?

Depends on how special that camera is to you, because market value of a working SL is only around $150-250. If you are able to find a tech willing to tackle the meter repair for $150, I'd regard that as a bargain.

I would not likely put any more money into the one you have. You could find a Leicaflex SL working perfectly for around $250 (or less) pretty easily. I'd probably find another one and use the one you have as a second (back-up) body or do nothing and use sunny 16, which works adequately for most films.

Broken exposure meters on cameras keep bugging me. Even when the rest of the camera works fine. I feel like I have to get it fixed, adjusted or repaired. My Fujica ST-701 is left unused for this reason…

The needle going al the way down on the SL probably suggests there is a loose solder joint somewhere or the CDS cell has lost connection.
