Real Men Shoot Film.
A snowstorm had just begun when I photographed this pair of trees on a grassy island in the middle of a cornfield in southwest Allen County, Indiana. This place is across the street from the abandoned house with the painting in the attic on Lower Huntington Road, a couple miles west of Fort Wayne.
I made this photograph this afternoon!

Indiana's landscapes are minimal. We have no mountains, dramatic skies, deserts, or exotic plants and animals. There is beauty in even the simplest places.

Actually, regarding plants, the Indiana Dunes at the south end of Lake Michigan have a rather astounding collection of both endemic species and many species at the extreme northern or southern edges of their ranges.
