I stopped at a farm on Knoll Road, just outside Fort Wayne's city limits, to photograph an old truck this afternoon. Walking back to my car afterward, I saw these old bathroom fixtures serving as planters in the snow-covered yard! I've seen a few other places in Indiana using toilets and bathtubs as flower containers over the years, but this is the first time that I have seen an entire bathroom moved outside to grace a flower garden!

Here's the truck that I originally stopped to photograph, before I discovered the planters. Does anyone know what year this Chevy truck is? It looks like it is from the 1940s, but I don't know enough about old trucks to know the year.

This sign was posted in front of the farmer's store building. It says; "Sorry. Due to the shortage of pumpkins, we are closed for the year. Thanks. See you next summer."
There was a pumpkin shortage in Indiana in 2011, because bad weather in other parts of the country had destroyed pumpkin crops grown in some areas. Midwestern farmers didn't grow enough to supply both us and those in other areas that weren't able to grow their own.
