long time ago, i used to do family portraits, band pics and even weddings…working with small groups was always a hoot, i enjoyed it the most.
tomorrow i am spending a good part of the day with an extremely attractive family, following them around town, doing a 'family portrait' session.
we will start with coffee at a local cafe and then head out to where the mood strikes…maybe a walk along the river valley as part of it.
the idea is to catch them interacting with each other and eventually a more posed group shot.
2 cameras with 23 and 60 mounted and the 18 in the bag along with a bunch of batteries etc.

should be fun...

above 0c tomorrow, very nice temps!
i never really liked weddings…so much pressure!
i liked shooting bands, had a studio in an old building with lots of great natural backdrops...

Having had the Pleasure of shooting with You
Out & about in NYC
I'm sure it will be Great Fun and Easy for You

Sounds Grand ... Enjoy !

That's a very rewarding type of photography IMO ... should be a lot of fun. :)

That sounds like the perfect outing! I remember one I did many years ago similar and it was super fun, and I managed to get a lot of fun shots and a few they liked.

What? You are leaving the Canon 7 at home? Say it ain't so, Joe.

Any way sounds like a fun gig, I hated wedding photography also. Too many repeat customers, just a different groom.

yeah, weddings are strange events to shoot…i have a handful of stories that i love telling!

I shot a wedding 3 years ago with my Bessa R. I got paid 80 bucks.:D I tried to steer them to a more professional photographer than me ;) but they said that was way too much. Well it was 80 bucks I didn't have & they are divorced already anyhow. I knew the day I shot it that it wouldn't last.

If you'd shot that with a Leica they'd probably still be together!

Ah, the sweet memories of shooting weddings!

I don't want to hijack the OP's thread...but the one that sticks out in my mind was the wedding that I shot of my best college buddy who married a Playboy Playmate in 1966. Yes, Playmates really do exist and they are spectacular.

But I digress; while they were honeymooning in the Caribbean, I assembled an expensive 8x10 wedding album as my gift to them. They returned after one week.....separated and immediately divorced.

I still have the album, somewhere.
