I am using a new enlarger and I have a problem:

When exposing 6x6 negs, to get te correct exposure I have to expose for less than 15 sec at f/22 with a correctly exposed neg...

Any hits or tips I want to get longer times in order to be able to dodge and burn effectively.

The bulb is the original one and I would expect to have something like 20 sec f/8 or so...

Thanks

Kris

Funny, I do all my dodging and burning with base exposures of 3 - 5 seconds.

If you think you need long exposures, try using neutral density filters with your enlarger. I would also get enough neutral density so you can use f/11.

Or, put in a lower wattage bulb.
15 sec is fine for straight printing, but if you want to dodge or burn, 30 sec makes thing easier.
Also, some papers are slower than others, so you might try some other papers.
