Toyo View Camera (Sakai Machine Tool) - Going Out of Business (End of Jan 2025)

I guess that means that even for cut film holders, only small makers like Chamonix, Stenopoeika and Gibellini remain. Crazy.

Sad to see them go--I bought my first Toyo 45 F in 1982 and used it heavily for 30 years both in my studio and for landscape work. I replaced the bellows twice and had to tighten up the focusing track a few times, but other than that it always worked well.

They had a wonderful run of ultra-high quality products for decades. Very sorry to see them go, but the folks who are the heart and soul deserve a time to breath and perhaps bring a new smaller field view camera with a digital back.
