Great work.

Yep, I wanted to post that too when I saw it a few days ago, but I forgot. It was quite overwhelming, I thought. A very clear and different vision. His photos (and also those of Pellegrin for example) always make me think my photographic vision has changed a little bit after seeing them.
Not sure why this is in the Leica M forum though, I don't think he uses one? I think you can see his camera a few times in the video but I didn't pay attention or noticed what camera it was.

Perhaps you are right, I should not have posted it here. Coming from pnet, anything of interest to an "M" user seemed to be posted as well.
Seems to be a medium format.
Yes, I felt the same. They expand too my photographic vision.
This is truly a fellow I would like to meet.
I was very impressed and moved.
I am not easily impressed or moved.
It emphasizes one does not "take" photographs, one "makes" them.
One does not work with what reality provides, but too can create their own reality according to a particular idea.
And this is where it begins, as always, *the idea*.
One begins with an idea and works towards it.
Coming from a fine art painting background, their attitudes are, as Edvard Munch stated (and as far as Im concerned the only reasonable thing he did that encouraged thought):
"A photograph will not compare with a painting until such time as a photograph can be taken in Heaven or in Hell."
Well, this is rather ignorance isn't it?!
And it is work such as this that demonstrates the abilities of the medium.
Anyway, yes, very strong work. These are my thoughts and the discussion I hoped to bring by posting it.
kind regards
D
