So I just shot a few rolls of Trix at 400 ( I haven't done that in a while I always push to 800 or 1600).

One roll is fine, but for a few of the middle shots of one roll I had a brain fart. I moved from F4 to F5.6 , and rather than going from 1/500th to 1/250 I went the other way to 1/1000 .....

So I figure the slight compensating effect of dilution H might help me out without over processing the other images. Not to mention the light was a bit flat....

So what times do you recommend with Dilution H ... 10 mins 12mins?

examples would be nice!

This is for new Tri-X (400TX) ...

12 @ 22C
10 @ 24C

5mL (concentrate/syrup) bring to 250mL (total with water)

agitate 5 turns every minute

Is that 1:50, Tom? I have to say I've been experimenting with HC110 lately and am loving the highlight separation I get from HP5 in dil H, so would suspect some compensating effect is present. Usually I have problems printing clean highlights from HP5 and have been favouring Tri-x lately. Sorry, no Tri-x/HC110 data though, I can't get over how good it is in ID-11.

My latest rolls were at 72 F, 9.5 minutes, agitated at 3.5 and 7 minutes only, using dil. H. I liked the results, I should get a few in the gallery but haven't yet.

Seems to me that the time isn't too picky....nor the dilution as tom's is 1:50 rather than the actual 1:64 (which would be double time of B)

When I use HC-110 dilution H (1:63) I double the development time of dilution B. I have no experience with Tri X so I don't have any examples. Good luck with it.

I know this is an old post or thread or subject, whatever it is called today. But I shoot Tri-X @ 400 and develop in HC-110 (h) for 13 minutes, agitate for 30 seconds, first, then two more 8 second agitation, spaced. Mostly, I like the way the negatives scan. Generally, I shot @ 200 for Tri-X.
