Hi Folks,

Well I got Doug Fisher's insert and glass for my Epson 4490 scanner, and I would say it helps with the scans. But I'm having a hard time getting the software to properly read each and every frame, in this case 6x45 frames from a Zeiss Ikon 520 folder. One or two frames each time are ruined by being split in half or cut off. I try to adjusting the positioning of the film, but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas? Thanks.

Included with the holder are instructions for bulk scanning-meaning you do not use the "thumbnail" view (I assume you use the Professional setting in Epson Scan). If they aren't there, they are on Doug's website.

Basically, disable thumbnails, scan the whole thing, and use the marquee tool to select your frames manually. It works great!

Sorry I didn't come across your question earlier but it looks like you got the information you needed. Just in case, here is the direct link for the instructions. This information is good to know even for the OEM Epson holders because the same issue can occur with any holder that will allow scanning of more than one frame at a time:
