Has anyone noticed that there are (at least) three ads on the big
auction site at the moment for a TSVVS? Items number 7616514702,
7618318136, and 7613906113 are all running concurrently. One is an
auction currently at EUR2,000 (no bidders), and the other two are for
B.I.N. prices of USD2,549 and USD2,486 respectively. But wait, there's
more. They are all for the same serial number #372 camera (which may
be a fake). Amazing! http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=34#

Hi - yes I saw the ads too and couldn't believe it. I also saw the millionth Kiev pictured in Princelle in a shop in London and didn't believe that either. The prices asked are staggering!wotalegend said:Has anyone noticed that there are (at least) three ads on the big

Aren't they all by the same seller and;
a) one of them the ad has expired, b) one is a timelimited sale and c) one is a static ad - with no ending date?
Don't know what the logic is to run parallel ads like that though but probably not a 'scam' in any way.

This seller often does this. The sales on the European site include 16% tax as he is a dealer. Those parallel listings on the US site do not so he can list them at a slightly lower price. If one sells, he just deletes to other add. Let's face it, at his prices, he is unlikely to get into trouble because both listings sell at the same time.
