After reading too many postings regarding Hexanon, and have also fallen victim.
I hope I will like it as much as my Hexanon 50mm.
Dante says it's close to the design of Nikkor-W 3.5cm 1.2F

What is the characteristic/signature of that Nikkor lens? It seems very popular among collectors. Does UC Hexanon 35mm have the same character/signature?
A lot I have gather about this lens make it very similar to Sonnar to me.

Is this lens as least as good as Hexar AF? I have been reading that it's based off the same Nikkor design, but the UC has more modern coating.
Although I can't find too many examples of the UC lens on Flickr, I actually found a lot for Hexar AF and those pictures are amazing. I am quite excited!

tell you what, i'll make a new flickr group for this lens (and the other limited edition hexanons) and you can fill it up with all the photos you take with it.

Drjoke,
you will love the UC. Very pretty boke even in B&W, color slide will knock you out. I bought the 90mm and loved it so much I had to buy the 50mm and 35UC. Enjoy!

The Hexar 35mm f2 on Hexar Silver aka Hexar AF is exactly the same lens as UC 35/2.drjoke said:Is this lens as least as good as Hexar AF? I have been reading that it's based off the same Nikkor design, but the UC has more modern coating.

I got Hexanon 50mm and I can't go back. Even my GF noticed something special about this lens.

after you join the group, it will show up in your list of groups you can send photos to. you can do this individually or in a batch (on the "organize" page).

Those words are unbelievably painful for me!

As far as I know there were THREE Konica RF lenses with the focal length of 35mm and f/2.
You mean this one (screwmount)? http://ojyamarche.nobody.jp/hxanon_ltd.html
This pretty much looks like the UC-Hexanon. It may be it's predecessor, design-wise.
Or do you mean this one (M-mount): http://www3.xitek.com/bingqiku/konica/rangefinder/m-konica-lens.htm
This is pretty much bigger than the UC-Hex 35/2, has a concave front element, and a Non-Gaussian design. Probably it's sharper at f/2 as well!
