Just got a roll back that I shot with my Canonet GIII QL17. Film was Fuji Superia 400, expired in 2005. It was processed by the same lab I have been using for years (and has never, ever scr*wed up)

But I got weird pinkish 'bands' on the right hand side of the frame, for an example see below. Any thoughts? Light leaks?

Do they appear in between the frames? If it is a light leak, check the seals at the hinge of the back. I use foam rubber sheets from Walmart.

Sure looks like a light leak to me.

Very similar to the one I had in the little Olympus when the plastic window slipped out of its place and acted like a "light pipe" from the outside to the film.

It looks very much like a light leak, probably at the hinge end of the back.

Take a very, very careful look in the sprocket area adjacent to the pinkish streak to see if there is a trace of the streak, greenish on a negative. If the streak is there then its certainly a light leak.

Looks very much like a light leak but on the other hand you were shooting some old film. I wouldn't rule out film related problems yet.

First thing I'd do is to shoot a test roll with fresh film.
