UK repairers of Ricoh 500GX

Hello all, does anyone have any info about UK repairers who can/will work on Ricoh 500GX's? I think the problem is just a sticky meter needle in the viewfinder - it n longer moves smoothly up and down but often stops, although I suppose it could be the meter. Also, what's the sort of price range I should expect to pay?

I have contacted a number of sites but I either get no reply or 2we can't fix it", presumably they only do digital and the upmarket non-digital.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I would expect that the cost of a repair would be more than the cost of an eBay purchase - if you can find one in full working order.
I hope you get it fixed.

Thanks for the info Raymondo. I'll phone them in the next few days.

Actually, I did buy another 500GX several weeks ago (not too expensive either), and at present the needle/meter seem to work properly and the Multi exposure facility seems to work a little better on this one (the slide switch won't slide back fully into place on its own on my first one), but the rangefinder spot doesn't go all the way when focused on Infinity on this second one, And when focused on the same near object from the same place, the distances on the focusing rings are different. So it may be that only my first one is focusing properly. I'll have to put a film through both to check.

IF they can fix the first one, maybe they'll be able to check the focus of the second and adjust it if possible.
