An RFF member (cant recall his name right now) has started selling Spur HRX and Acurol film developers through his blog. It's at www.theonlinedarkroom.com. There's a big banner advert at the top of the page for the Spur products.
I bought some HRX from Germany earlier this year and I have not used a better developer. The tonality is beautiful. I've no experience of Acurol but a couple of photographer friends have started using it and love it. You can never have too many developers to choose from! Just thought I'd mention this in case any UK guys have been put off by shipping costs ordering from Germany.

It's Brian Robbins, he is out of Scotland so a little too far for me in California. But he has done a bunch of tests with both the developer and film. For those in the UK, etc, it is a great source.

Hi John,
It's Bruce Robbins but that was quite close so I'll let you off.
I agree that it's a great source of Spur products for UK photographers but since starting up the store I've sold developer to most parts of the globe but only had one customer from the UK! Weird.

I should remember your first name, it is the same as my son. Good luck with the Spur project.

SPUR is making more developers specific for Adox/Fotoimpex and for Rollei-Maco. They are specialised in developers for high resolution micro films hence their name. It is a two persons company.

I used HRX3 quite a bit, liking the results (HP5 @ 250), when it changed to the keep one part in the fridge.. I stopped... high faff factor.
Tempted to try again now this has been resolved... but I notice the HP5 is suggested as preferred at 400.. anyone tried the latest at 250..?
