Here are the latest updates regarding my 3D printed accessory shoe doubler project. I went through about fifteen versions of the design and I have settled on the following version. The design prints cleanly, the fit and tolerances are snug and reassuring for both metal and plastic "feet". I also modified the design to allow for multiple heights off the top plate of the camera to make the design flexible. It takes about 1 hour to print the 4 items simultaneously, and the black ABS materials is strong and matches the textured leather of most cameras.
Please let me know your comments. I am planning on placing a classifed ad on the Rangefinder Forum Classified section next week.
Thanks.
Steve W.
