Sorry if this has bee mentioned elsewhere, need some urgent lens.
I recently noticed that my Canon 25mm/3.5 which I use on my Leica M's has either some serious haze, cleaning marks and/or fungus damage on the elements. As they are so small am unable to see which elements are affected. I bought this lens over a year ago and really should have checked it better, as nothing was particularly noticeable at the time, thinking that the comparatively soft, hazy scans were simply due to age and some minor hazing so was shocked when I held it up to a strong light source the glass was practically opaque! Can anyone recommend where I can get this sorted in the UK? preferably London area so I can take it down to have it looked at? Naturally it would have to be someone who is familiar wit this particular lens and how to do a thorough dismantling and cleaning and the elements may well need polishing and re-coating.
Thanks

Try Miles Whitehead - not in London but I've used him many times for various lenses, from Canon AF lenses to OM lenses... not for RF lenses but I know that he can work on them.

Try Newton Ellis & Co in Liverpool. I've found them excellent with my Canon ltm and Leica M lenses. They explain the issues with a lens thoroughly. Very helpful.

I forgot to add - dismantling, cleaning, servicing yes, but re-coating will most-likely be a very specialist and costly procedure. Not sure where this can be done. A good clean may just be what the lens needs.

Try Aparture in Rathbone place, they have a repair guy on site who seems to know his stuff, I don't imagine they'd be able to re-coat, but if you need something done quickly they might be the best bet in London as everywhere else will be sending it off somewhere.

Thanks for all your suggestions. After looking round here I called Malcolm Taylor and sent it to him. Now waiting for a response.
I've used the chap at Aperture for my Nikon AI lenses, may well check him out for other Leica and Canon lenses, as have a few which really need cleaning and calibrating.
