I want to use my M-Rokkor 40mm on my Hexar RF (when it gets back from repair).
I am willing to saw off a bit on the mount lug to get the 35mm frame to show in the Hexar.
Anyone in here use the M-Rokkor 40mm with thier Hexar RF?
Any hints/tips?

You don't have to SAW off! A few strokes with a small file will do it. I use a triangular file. Take a few strokes and try it. Take a few more and try it. The first few are the most difficult, cutting through the chrome.

Hello Al...
Yes, I will go slow and file off tiny amounts until the 35 frame appears.

Not sure how it would be any different from using Rokkor on any Leica with M mount. Should be just fine, I imagine.

Hello Krosya..
Yes, know it will work, wondered about folks who have used the combnation, did they like this pair, etc...

I've used a Summi-C 40/2 on a Hexar and it was a good combo - I think the M-Rokkor is the same (improved) design?
You'll get used to any framing issues soon enough - file away and enjoy (I used a chisel to scrape away at my CV40/1.4, you can't take too much off (within reason))
