I am currently using Lightroom to access my Leica M8 I have a full version of Capture One Pro already on my system for my Phase one.
The softwear packaged with the M8 does not seem to have a sophisticated downloading window? or am I missing it somewhere?
Thanks

My version of capture 1 activates when you put the sd card in my PC and you then chose which file to down load into. It then opens capture 1 when finished downloading. Works OK. If you are not getting this, have a look on your toolbar. there should be a small film logo with a blue circle and the number '1'. Clicking on this should let you set the downloading set up. Hope this helps

PC or MAC? If using a MAC OSX has a neat little app called Image Capture. Connect your camera with USB and upload to a new folder. Then, open in C1.

The best way is, to make a pictures directory on your HD and move those pictures from the SD card to your HD (with a card reader).telluridestock said:I am currently using Lightroom to access my Leica M8
By this way, your work will be much comfortable and much faster.

I use Downloader Pro by Breeze Systems to get the images off of my SD cards (via card reader). Has sophisticated methods for organizing images. Only on Windows though.
