V700 and contact sheets

I am driving the V700 with Vuescan and I want to do contact sheets with the 35mm negs in the transparent sleeves. While all 36 negs fit within the boundaries of the glass plate, I am having trouble setting the boarders of the scan big enough to fit all the negs in. Any hints or tips would be much appreciated.
