I'm considering selling my ZI with some accessories, this one being one of them and also the one which I'm struggling at putting a pricetag on.

What is the going rate for these nowadays? Does someone else make equivalent products or did these become scarce items once Japanexposures/Megaperls stopped manufacturing?

I think they have become quite scarce. Or people are instead buying Nikon F or Cosina eyepieces that are the same size so fit the same cameras as the Megaperls 1.3X magnifier. However as far as I can figure out the Megaperls magnifier is the only one that has an adjustable diopter. All the others are fixed. Nikon also has a 2x magnifier with an adjustable diopter but that needs to be flipped up to see the full frame. Maybe this is why the Megaperls magnifier has become quite scarce. What this leaves me wondering about is why Megaperls (Japan Exposures) stopped making them?

Zeiss Ikon is a very, very small segment of a very small market for rangefinders. And Megaperls is selling a product to an even smaller group of people who feel they need or want a magnifier for a ZI. I would imagine their market was pretty small. So, sell a few and move on. Tough little characters to find now.

Gotta be worth more then you paid if its in good condition.

And, if I am not mistaken, Japan Exposures is actually Megaperls, just a different name for the same web-based shop.

EDIT - Sorry, missed the previous post.
