I liked what I've seen so far of the VC-Meter II and put down a deposit with Mr. Gandy. I am curious, however, if anyone here has experiance with the earlier model and if they would share thier impressions?

I'm getting it to use with my Iskra as I am finding that my Mk I eyeball calibration is more than a little off... :bang:

Thanks!

I love mine. I can't say that I've had any problems with it yet. Plus, it looks great on top of my IIIf; after all, isn't that what's most important? ;)

I do find I need to readjust the dials because they are pretty easy to move out of place. This doesn't bother me too much, though, because I usually only meter once or twice (if the light changes dramatically).

It's easier if I meter the places that are different in light, then put the meter away. I don't really like to rely on the meter all the time because I feel it takes time away from the shot.

If you get it, let us know what you think.

I use the older vc meter on my Canonet GIII and my Zorki 4k. It's small, easy to use, and accurate in the light I shoot in (haven't tried it for night shots). It's a lovely little meter and I think the vc II will be even nicer.
