Hello guys,

I have a question about the possible versions of the Olympus mju II 2.8/35 camera (no zoom).

There are models with black and silver body. But there seem to be silver bodies with two additional buttons on the back? Is there any website listing the versions and when they were made? Or could anyone of you tell me?

Thanks in advance,
Florian

Someone from Malaysia on facebook posted photos of a large batch of cameras he bought, incl. an unboxing spread. This photo was my reason for asking (photo deleted, was just for information):

This is databack version.

Then there is Panaroma version with a lever left to VF, simply blocking parts of frame with moving curtains. I think my pano model had also databack.

IIRC the Panorama version was of the original mju:, and Panorama was part of its name on the front lid. Of the mju:II there only were Zoom versions labelled mju:II "whatever". Ignoring different colours and the US specific "Stylus" branding, the only version without a "whatever" to the name and fixed lens was the databack version.

Hi,

Three colours for the mju-II; black, metallic beige and shiny silver. Then with and without the date back; QD on the box from memory.

Again from memory my one was called the mju - panorama but I can't remember much more. It had the 35mm lens which suggests the mju-I.

ebay confuses the issue as a lot are described wrongly in the mju range, especially the zoom versions.

Regards, David
