Just finished this up. Another version of what I did for the Sigma dp Quattro.

Used a $18 L bracket grip from ebay that fits very well. The slight extension of the grip makes the camera very comfortable in my large hands

Used a small file to notch where the grip meets with the body and the added a recess for the strap.

and I had to do a little bit of a recess on the side too so that the battery door opened with issue.

Thanks, some grips already come with a side lug position but I couldn't find one for the Panasonic. I far prefer the vertical hang and it also gets the strap more out of the way too.

It should work well when wrapping the strap around your right hand.
