It looks like this one comes with a Tiffen series 6 hood, maybe you could use it?

so that would be like, maybe 550 in the real world?

kc has a canon uv filter, black ring, in very nice shape for 35 bucks american. that's like 42 cdn. or thereabouts.
i want it.
but that's just too much money.
