I've never seen this kind of artifact in my photos before:
I was going through some stuff from last winter and noticed this photo. I have cranked the contrast a bit higher than normal to emphasize the defect/flare/?? but it is visible in the straight scan and on the negative.
There were NO bright light sources anywhere around--it was a pretty miserable, overcast day.
Shot with my Bessa R2a, Jupiter-8, and BW400CN film. Not certain of the exposure but it was somewhere around 1/30 at f/5.6 (might have been as slow as 1/15; it was a pretty dim afternoon)
Any thoughts, wild speculations?
Thanks!
Rob
