Daily Press amateur photo contest open for entries
VICTORVILLE — The Daily Press is holding its annual amateur photography contest, culminating with an awards presentation and reception.
Categories include life studies and scenics, with both color and black-and-white divisions. This year's special category is Winter Weather 2004-05.
Contest entry forms will also be available at
www.HighDesert.com and at the Daily Press office, 13891 Park Ave., Victorville. There is a fee of $1 an entry, with proceeds going to charity.
Entries may be dropped off at the Daily Press during business hours between Monday and Sept. 2 only.
Winning photos will be included in an exhibit from Sept. 8 to Sept. 17 at the High Desert Center for the Arts at Eighth and C streets in Old Town Victorville. A public reception is planned at the center from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 10.
A selection of winning photographs will also be published in the Daily Press.
