Viewfinder for 135mm lens

I just bought three (3!) FSU lenses on eBay from ruscamera.

In a few weeks I'll be the proud owner of:
1 black Jupiter-8 50/2
1 silver Jupiter-3 50/1.5
1 silver Jupiter-11 135/4

And it's with this last lens that I need some help.

Is there a dedicated viewfinder for the 135mm?

I already have the turret finder but I'd prefer a small, dedicated viewfinder that I can stick on the M2 when I need it. I probably won't use it too often as I usually don't shoot much in tele range, but the vast expanses of Mongolia are tempting shooting grounds for such long lenses.

If there is a dedicated viewfinder for 135mm, does anyone here have one for sale, or seen one on eBay?

Well, Leica definately make one, but like everything from the house of Leitz it's a tad pricey. I think there's a Canon one, too.

Joe is very correct Remy. :)

I have an extra 135 viewfinder. Send me a PM if you are interested.

I can take some digi-snaps of it if you would like.

I use a Zeiss Ikon Contax "torpedo" finder that has framelines for both 85mm and 135mm. It works well and only cost me about $70. Besides, you know that one day you will buy an 85mm lense.

"Torpedo" finder? Is that what it's called? I already have a J-9 85mm lens, so this combined VF could be interesting.

So, the funny thing is, I received this in a trade from Joe, but he never opened the box and looked at it. He had it, but then bought his Canon 7 which has 135 framelines. So, when he shipped it to me, he just put the box with the finder in another box, just a little larger, and sent it on to me. I laughed when I got it because those two little boxes had more tape on them, and I had to fight through it twice!

It looks really nice, Rover. I like it.

Well, we've already PM'd about it. :)

My little finder is finally going to have a home.

Same as Joe, I got it with a Nikkor 13.5cm F3.5 that I use on my Canon 7. So this little finder has not had any use in three owners.

That is right Brian, this started with you. I didn't even look at the return address from the box in which it was shipped to Joe.

hey, i opened the original box and looked at the finder and put it on my shelf.
i just knew finders were not for me.
it did not, however, ever make onto a camera in canada.

so? are you guys gonna make a deal?
i kinda feel involved...

To stay in RF terms, and to speak with Dorothea Lange: this little finder has become a Migrant Finder. :)
