Dear FSU forum users
,
Yesterday I got a Zorki 1, an export version. It was pretty messed up, but with some cleaning, oiling, and shutter repair I have another working camera. The Zorki seems to be built much stronger and better than my Fed 1. But still some parts are missing, the reflecting mirror of the viewfinder (not the moving prism) is a bit broken, and the two front parts are missing. (including the piece to adjust the vertical rangefinder alignment) Does anyone know where to get these parts? Oleg will only send parts for a minumum order of $30, as noted on his site. And I havent got Pa*pal yet...
Greetings,
p.s I have some Zorki 4 parts left.

Try Alex-photo, have purchased many small parts from him and the shipping has been $10.00 each time plus he is super fast and has many parts for these cameras.

Just one question left, where can I find a list of serial numbers and production years of the Zorki 1? The Number of my Zorki is 92471 and the one on the Industar lens 5127230.

The first 2 digits of the s/n are the year of manufacture, in your case the camera was made in 1992 and the lens in 1951.

Thats not correct, I've found a list of serial numbers for the Fed 1, and my Fed 1 has a serial number beginning with 52, though produced in 54.
How can a Zorki 1 been manufactured in 1992? Even the Zorki 4K was discontinued somewhere in the 80ies. The site of ruscamera.com shows me it is an early export version. So it can't be produced in 1992.
Greetings,
P.S. The 2 digit rule only works for late KMZ cameras.

Yes, I thought it'd be wierd to see a Zorki 1 made in 1992... just a little off from normal production!

For everyone owning a Fed-1 you can check the serials here: http://www.camprice.com/pub/primer.html (it takes some time to scroll down)

I am offer _free_ shipping for $30 minimum order. You can order one small screw for $0.01 even! But I'll ask you add $6 for shipping.
To ALL: So, I am newbie here... It's my first post... I used BestStuff forum, but now it died almost.
I found a lot of feedbacks about me here, thank you for all good words....

Please let me say welcome, Oleg. Your input on the many sometimes
wonderful FSU cameras will be greatly appreciated here. Of course seeing you post gives me an itch for a nice Kiev 4am with a J-8... :bang: or, worse, a late production Kiev 5 like I used to own :bang: :bang: :bang:
Thanks for coming here,
William

the "two digit-year of manufacture" system was introduce between 1959-1962 and was used before on some cameras but not all of them until after those years.

Your (good) reputation precedes you here!!!!!!!!!!
However, we expect at least one valuable submission to RFF a day on FSU cameras. (joke)
