Sorry if duplicate - first try didn't seem to work.
Hi - new to the forum - please let me know if this is not the right place.
I bought a Vitomatic IIa mainly for nostalgia, since one was loaned to me to use at the New York World's Fair in 1965.
The meter indicates close to correct in direct sunlight (slightly under),comparing to sunny 16 rule or another camera (DSLR).
In shady conditions, it indicates exposures that are under by 2 stops or more.
The shutter speeds and aperture settings seem OK, as I get a series of good exposures when varying the combination ring under sunny conditions.
The meter needle is not stuck and does go the minimum if you block the cell window.
I understand the meter circuit is simple, just the selenium cell, a resistor and the meter movement.
Any idea of what to do to fix this?
