Hello all.

I recently got a Vivitar 35ES off of eBay. It was in poor cosmetic condition, but the meter etc all worked nicely. I replaced the leather, only to discover there is a fairly bad vertical light leak. I've tried adding in seals, but whenever I do that the door gets stuck and refuses to open... so I am currently :bang:

I can't find any details on where exactly the seals should go online. Does anybody have any instructions/images I can consult? Thank you!

I always buy self- adhesive black felt from arts and crafts shops. The thinnest I can find. Always worked well with every camera. £1 for a A4 sheet.

I already have seals. I just haven't been able to identify the correct place to put them. :)

I can look at mine tomorrow and send some pics if that helps...

Yes please! That would be brilliant. I believe there's an unusual seal near the film door join that I am missing which is causing the issue - so this would help. Thanks a lot.

Let me know if these help. There is adhesive residue but little foam in the second photo by the door hinge.

This camera has original seals.

This is wonderful, and exactly what I was after - thank you very much!

Mine literally has zero seals. I tried putting them in most of the places shown above, but then the door got stuck closed. I am now suspecting I have an additional issue with the door catch not releasing properly, as opposed to the seals being the problem with the door (if that makes sense).
