The original manual does not address this issue. The number in the (#) refer to the user manual illustration parts number. If at #1 the shutter button is locked but after advance to #2 the shutter button is unlocked, follow the steps to correct this issue before loading the film, otherwise you will waste a frame, or you can push the shutter linkage bar at the right side to release the shutter. This issue is not a mechanic issue or need CLA or adjustment.
1. Open the front and extend the lens:
• Press the bottom latch to open the front of the camera and fully extend the lens into position.
2. Reset the film counter:
• Flip the film counter reset lever (17) to the left. If the number “1” appears in the film counter window and the shutter release button can be pressed, proceed to load the film according to the manual instructions.
3. If the shutter button remains locked (unable to press):
• Flip the film counter reset lever (17) to the left.
• Move the shift lever (18) to the left until the number “2” appears in the window.
• Flip the film counter reset lever (17) back to the right.
• After completing this, follow the manual instructions to load the film.
