Hello everybody

Since I am still looking for a decent relatively low cost rangefinder entry form, I am in search of some used 35mm lens. Now, I already made up my mind as to what I will finally want - a 35/2.0 Biogon but that is out of the question for now. So, the Skopar caught my attention since it is not that slow, gets a lot of praise and I might be able to get one at a good price. Now, what I don't know is how different are the 3 types of this lens : I understand one is the classic and the other two are pancake lenses, one of them LTM the other M mount. Now the prize question : are there optical/performance differences between the 3 ?

Regards,
Stefan

I have a number of 35mm lenses. I would sell you my CV Color Skopar 35/2.5 LTM with M adapter. PM me.

great, tiny lens.
two versions are ltm, one M mount.
you should visit the CQ site for more details.
good luck

I have the 35/2.5 Color Skopar. I find it to be sharp and contrasty. I don't know if it is the "pancake." It probably is. It is pretty tiny, and I don't see how it can be any pancakier unless it were to be squashed in a 70-ton hydraulic press. At any rate, I thought it good enough to do much of France with this past spring--and I'm quite happy with my results. Recommended!

The 35/2.5 Color Skopar is a great little lense. A true allrounder and so easy to use. Everyone who shoots with a LTM- or M-mount rangefinder should have at least one.

The skopar is great. If you want to go faster, consider the Canon 35/2.0, Contact me if you are interested as I plan to sell my Canon P and one of my 35mm lenses. Depending where you are located, you could try out both (I live 100km north of Hamburg).

The optics are shared between the different versions.

I'd go for either the original LTM version or the M-mount. The LTM pancake only focusses down to 0.9m (vs. 0.7m for the others), you might find that limiting.

Akiva has the original LTM version which focusses down to 0.7m, ping him a PM :)
