Three different versions of this lens. Are the optics all the same? Or are their differences?

Well-known
I have the last version of this lens. I believe they all have the same optical design. The latter two versions have electronic contacts for aperture and exposure control as well as manual focus confirmation. The difference between the latter two versions is that v2 has a narrow rubber focusing ring, while v3 has a metal knurled focusing ring, which I prefer.
Excellent lens mechanically and optically.
Excellent lens mechanically and optically.

I prefer the rubber focusing ring as it is easier to differentiate by feel from the aperture ring. Either would be a fine lens. Great match for the Pentax MX I use the lens on.

A fantastic lens, my favourite with my film Nikons.
