More Info

1) black and silver VC lenses are the same weight
2) SC future lens chart possible, time will tell
3) Nikon F lens chart a no go, as the superb SL lenses are on their way to be discontinued, although I recently managed to get some more 40/2 in both Nikon and Pentax 42 mount
4) Special $3000 VC lens surcharge option for new Leica M8 owners, so they won't have to be embarrassed about how little they paid for their Voigtlander lenses. Embarrassment is a terrible thing, but money can cure it.

The column "field of view, film" is diagonal field, right? Perhaps sneaking a "D" or "diag" in the heading would add to the table's precision. Nice compilation.

While a bit OT since I'm a Nikonian - I too think Steve is the greatest!

He provided the outlet for the R2S. It's given a new opportunity for great vintage Nikkor RF glass to perform its tricks once again.

Oh, and, via Steve, Mr. Kobiashi gave us Nikonians some new CV glass too!

I love my SP and S2 - but I am glad I have my R2S's for everyday shooting!

Please excuse me. I shoulded read this first http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37461

Hi and thanks for this great chart. But there is one thing that its confusing me a lot:

http://www.cosina.co.jp/seihin/voigt/v-camera/rangefinder/r-4m-4a.html

I have a VM COLOR-SKOPAR 35mm F2.5 PII and a SC S-SKOPAR 50mm F2.5 with the SC to VM adapter. The image of the new two wide lenses at the bottom of the web page apear to me a VM bayonet mount!?

Can someone enlight me about this?

Thanks a lot. Sincerely,
Joao

Thanks Stephen

...for the excellent chart...and your commitment to this unique forum.

Now I know I won't be getting an M8, too expensive lenses...I'll stick with the film Leica and Nikon RFs I've got.
