Voigtlander Nokton 50f1.5 and f2

Brian, a question popped up on Sunday's swap meet. A friend picked up a Prominent with the 50f2 Nokton. We started talking about these rather monstrous cameras.
The question was "When did the name Nokton show up on the 50f1.5 - and which come first, the f2/50 or the f1.5f50. Somebody suggested 1951 for the first Nokton 50f1.5 on the Prominent?
Not being an expert on Prominents - though I do have a Prominent Nokton 50f1.5 with the Nikon Rf adapter. heavy beast - but nice "vintage look.
 
I've also read 1951 for the Nokton. I have a Prominent I with cold shoe, and a Prominent "1.5" with a slightly larger viewfinder with brightlines for 35/50/100 lenses, and 1.5stroke lever advance. The latter is a 200th anniversary camera -1956-, as is marked on the manual.

I use one Nokton on the Prominent 1.5, and the other on an S-Mount adapter.

Trivia: The filter size of the Nokton is the same as the Polaroid 180 and 195.

Do you mean Ultron for the f/2 lens? I've never seen an f/2 Nokton.

I'm sure that is true- there was the 50mm F1.5 Nokton, 50mm F2 Ultron, and the 50/3.5 Skopar. I also have the 35/3.5 Skopar and 100/4.5 Dynaron. And a "Turnit".

Thanks Brian. that settles the discussion of trivia.
 
"CAMERAS From Daguerreotypes to Instant Pictures", Brian Coe, 1978, states that the Voigtlander Prominent of 1951 was offered with the 50mm F1.5 Nokton or 50mm F2 Ultron. The Voigtlander Vitessa is also given as 1951. I have a Vitessa N with the 50/3.5 Skopar- very sharp, and a Vitessa T with the 50/2.8 Skopar, just as sharp.
