I have inherited the Vito BR that my father bought new in 1958. Was wondering if someone could confirm if the Color-Skopar 50mm f/2.8 is front cell focusing or unit focusing? Many thanks!
One way to find out yourself... Open the back, open the shutter, exercise the focusing back and forth and watch the rear element - If the rear element moves as you focus, then it's unit focusing; if it doesn't move then the lens has front cell focus.

I completely disassembled one a few months to service it and it is definitely a unit focusing my model. If you want to check with the back open, you’ll need to cock the shutter manually and hold it open on bulb to see the lens from the back.
