After seeing the scan of this one last night, I was really happy. Definitely one of my (usually 5 or so) keepers this year.

Great picture, Roland!

Here's one of my own favorites. It's not new, some of you have probably seen it in another thread.

I wouldn't actually say I've taken any pictures that I'm particularly proud of; I'm normally my harshest critic and painfully aware of my artistic limits. But I'm certainly going to enjoy reading other people's contributions to this thread if the shots above are anything to go by. Nice work, thanks for sharing! BTW Antti - love that shot!

The sign says roughly: "No more lies/Enough with the lying. From a protest today against dirty gov. members.

I'm particularly pleased with these two, taken last August in the northern part of the Yosemite back country:

Here are four of mine that I truly like. All digital, I don't have any of my film shots I like scanned to share. They'll have to wait until I can afford a scanner.

P.S. I'm still relatively new here, and don't quite understand the W/NW bit, so if I've missed something here, I apologise.

I really like this one - makes me want to get back over to the south west for another visit. My last visit was in 1980.

And don't worry about the W/NW bit. That simply means Words/No Words, meaning you can add words about the photo, or not, as you choose. I think the practice was picked up from the old Leica forum on photo.net, years ago, but it may have been used elsewhere too.

I have only taken a few hundred photos ever. I use a small point and shoot camera. I am not a fine artist or a professional - nor do I want to be. I just try and capture something that people may like to look at. I took some simple advice from one of the experienced guys on a thread and applied it. I am pleased with the improved result. So people may have different levels of being proud I guess :)
