I thought this had something to do with substituting a camera for a security blanket (Linus with a IIIc?). My mistake.

What looks odd/interesting to me, Rich, is that the images on the monitor look like the scene is in a convenience store yet the background around the monitor looks like it is in a cave/tunnel/subway. Where was this taken?

It's inside a newspaper-/magazine store in San Francisco. I see what you mean as the ceiling is very 'vaulted'
