Well, I've heard so much about the lovely Summitar, that I bought one for my IIIf. With the
Xmas rush, it'll be 2-3 weeks until it gets to Jerusalem. In the meantime, I'd love to see
some pix done with your Summitars.
Thanks and happy holidays,
Mike

Watch that step!
Here`s a thread with some nice Summitar pix - I have one also posted there taken with my "uncoated" 1940 one - the Summitar`s a great vintage Leica lens!

I have a Summitar and while I am not sure of its formula, to me its remincent of the Sonnar "look." (which is a good thing I must say.) Does anyone know for sure?

Is your summitar coated or uncoated Mike? If it is uncoated, I would get a hood ordered - my '39 uncoated flares quite bad - but I still like it.
