As someone still using Photoshop 7 on my older OS mac, I was glad I found this warning today on the excellent www.macintouch.com site, since I was planning to update my Mac before upgrading PS7 which serves me just fine.
It concerns a particularly nasty virus. You can read how nasty by going to the news for December 5, 2007 on macintouch (I haven't asked their permission to reprint the whole post. ) The warning comes from Ian Downie. It starts:
"Be very careful if you are searching for a way of fixing Photoshop 7 so that it will work under Leopard. I did a Google Search today with the term Photoshop 7 Leopard and the top result was to a site called dailykeys.com with a page entitled "DAILY KEYS: photoshop 7 leopard fix, today keys (2007-12-04)". "
EDIT: I should have used the word FIX in the thread heading, rather than upgrade. Upgrade suggests that it comes from Adobe, which is not the case. Apologies.
