I think the vignette is that the hole in the body cap that I put the pinhole over isn't big enough (thoughts on how big it would need to be to get full frame coverage on a Leica body welcomed), or need to be further from the film plane.

The radiating light effect, however, has me beat. I can only assume it's an internal reflection from inside the pinhole (made from an old soft drink can), but it seems to do it in all lights - this was taken late on a very misty evening. Does anyone else have more clue than me what's causing it?

Thanks,

Adrian

I don't know about the spirit portzal you have conjured, but you can draw a triangle with a 43mm base and a centered apex the height equal to the distance from the pinhole to the film, and then figure out if the edges of the hole hit the triangle. Or just peel the pinhole off and countersink the hole.

Hee hee! All it needs is a couple of "orbs" and I have evidence of life after death and fifty million followers on Facebook! Just need to write the book of new age ballcocks to go with it...

Good tip on the triangle, thank you. Luckily my friend with the lathe is easy to persuade!
