I've by using the Welta Weltur for a couple of months now, and really like it. The pictures seem to be super sharp. Not as sharp as the 5x7 camera with modern coated lens, but sharper than any other camera I have used. It is also super well built, but old. The viewfinder isn't as accurate as I wish, and there is no built in light meter, which would make it the perfect camera for me, and also makes the Fuji 670 tempting for me. The price tag on a new camera is a major drawback on my budget, and I don't know that the camera will take better pictures. The extra weight, collectability and less durable materials being used in manufacture of Bessa are also a consideration. Seems every camera is a compromise, but for my purposes I only need one 120 folder.

What I really need to do is have the modern camera in my hands and use it for a month or two to see which is better for me. Maybe I should buy one on eBay, and just resell it if I don't like it. Anyone have both cameras and can give me a comparison?

I've only the Weltur.
Surely in Bessa you'll find a better viewfinder, greater resolution mainly with colour and a faster camera. But on the other hand you'll lose the sturdiness of weltur and the 6x9 format that I love. Bessa is a bit too plastic and the shutter is electronic, two things I really don't like.
I vote for Weltur.
