Yes, certainly, and I would use it. It seems a shame not to use it. To me, there is no mystical value in an object not being used for its intended purpose.
But it is not in "A+" condition, as claimed; the lubricants have dried out at the very least.

I bet the lubricants are still good as long as the box was kept in a reasonably cool location.
