I started out by a downtown and beach visit with my family this morning.
One of my photos posted in the gallery was commented on my Jan recently, and he saw lack of sharpness in a photo with good graphical attributes, so I went to the spot toady and I took many graphical images there in B&W this time. I am now trying to take photos that are not of my family when the opporunity is there, but I really enjoy documenting the daily lives around me.

I gave my Summarit another "shot", and this time I used B&W film with a yellow filter [on a Leica IIIc] and hood during an overcast morning. If this time the lens is subnormal, I need to take action.

I also took some B&W photos (with brownish filter) with the Summitar for the first time. I hope that the images will come out nice.

The Zeiss Sonnar 50/2 lens was used with B&W film and a green filter.

The built-in meter in the CL came in handy with these old lenses where the aperture control is hard to reach, and when mounting a filter and lens hood, things got more complicated.

I have no plans so far for tomorrow, but will most likely enjoy downtown again.

What are you doing this weekend?

Shooting with my IIf/50mm Summicron/Fuji Neopan 1600. I also picked up some accessories for me plican cases. Lid organizers for both and some pick and pluck foam for the smaller unit. Got all th lid organizers mounted, the foam shaped to fit my gear, and the bags repacked. That is my weekend.

Got a lifetime collection of pictures from the estate of a local journalist yesterday [who has one photo in the Britannica]. Today, I have been sorting and scannning all day except for a near noon break to take my M2 and 50mm 'cron down to the river for a few shots to break the routine. Back to the task all afternoon and am now stopping at 8pm. It has been interesting to me.

i shot with the digital canon a620 today.

tomorrow i'm doing a family portrait for some friends, on film and maybe the digi cam too.

Why do I get the feeling that the next step in your gear evolution is headed in the digital direction?

Took some digital shots of Flagg Coal #75 in Metamora Indiana. (That's a Vulcan 0-4-0 Steam engine built in Wilkes-Barre PA.)

Metamora is a neat little tourist town. Reminds of a little of New Hope PA...

i like the ease and simplicity of process that is digital, but i much prefer using rf cameras, so i'm kinda stuck.
will never be able to afford/justify the m8 so my only hope might be a used rd-1 someday.
the small canon is going to be my belt camera for a while.
i created a blog for work activities and digital fits that niche perfectly as it gives me good quality pics with minimal time spent at home working on them.
my boss gave me a wall at work and i have started a small gallery of my film shots so this is a mutually beneficial working arrangement.

btw, i think my zm glass is digital ready...😉

I just loaded my Luigi clad M3 with Fuji 400 Neopan, and I am ready mentally for a day with the M3 and German glass. I will exercise the 35mm Summicron and the Nikkor 85mm/2.0 lenses.

To those of you who are going to be in Boston,
Boston is a great city for street photography. I used to walk around Harvard Square and other areas where people were plenty around.
