I'm sure the Digital M is going to appear real soon now, and when it does, a mere wheeled conveyance won't be cool enough to carry it around.

Which brand of flying car do y'all think will be best suited to this photographic mission? I'll want something that gets good mileage, as I'll probably have a long commute to where my personal spaceship is parked. But it's got to be sturdy enough not to be damaged by collisions with winged pigs.

;)

The flying skateboard Michael J Fox used in Back to the Future. Then you'd have the ultimate street shooting combo. If you still insist on driving, the DeLorean time-machine would be a good choice.. truely anywhere, anytime shooting.

I believe that the Digital M goes into the category that Donald Fagen forsaw back in 1982...

I.G.Y. - Donald Fagen

Standing tough under stars and stripes
We can tell
This dream's in sight
You've got to admit it
At this point in time that it's clear
The future looks bright
On that train all graphite and glitter
Undersea by rail
Ninety minutes from New York to Paris
Well by seventy-six we'll be A.O.K.

What a beautiful world this will be
What a glorious time to be free

Get your ticket to that wheel in space
While there's time
The fix is in
You'll be a witness to that game of chance in the sky
You know we've got to win
Here at home we'll play in the city
Powered by the sun
Perfect weather for a streamlined world
There'll be spandex jackets one for everyone

What a beautiful world this will be
What a glorious time to be free

On that train all graphite and glitter
Undersea by rail
Ninety minutes from New York to Paris
(More leisure time for artists everywhere)
A just machine to make big decisions
Programmed by fellows with compassion and vision
We'll be clean when their work is done
We'll be eternally free yes and eternally young

What a beautiful world this will be
What a glorious time to be free

Ahhhhhhhh ..

I thoroughly ADORE that album.
I never cared too much for Steely Dan but that Fagen album was, imho, a great one....even more amazing was, back in 82 I was 16-17 and you'd have thought I wouldn't have enjoyed that music.. man.. it's timeless :)

Thanks, For The Memories....
Dave

Let's see...the kind that breaks down after only two-five years because it was made trying to beat a deadline quota, or the kind of car that took its sweet time to be built so that it would last a very long time? hmmm... do I want fries with that?

Ok Brett.. I'm curious..
name some other albums or such you recall from your youth.

let's see if there's a Wisconsin/Ontario ESP linky thing going on ;)

Cheers

Just to get back on topic for a moment, there is no doubt in my mind that for your Digital M, the only suitable vehicle to be seen in with such a camera is the Moller M400. Unlike the Digital M, the Moller M400 has actually been built.

For those who prefer to remain true to traditional film based Leicas, the 1947 ConvairCar is a perfect complement to these fine, all mechanical cameras. There's more infornation on the ConvairCar here.

Hope this helps.
