Hey guys, Merry hristams to all.

So what did Santa bring you this year. In my case a few pants and socks plus a vertical grip for my EOS 5 since the previous one stopped working.

Got some double time at work and Chinese take out.

Best gift will be going back to second shift today and having some time to work on our facility time capsule after a month long hiatus.

A sweater, and this T-shirt ....

Came as a Christmas surprise. Got paid for the online rights for a time limit of 2-years for three of my shots. A fourth shot the art director wanted was my friend Mike's, so I kinda acted like Mike's agent.

Had to negociate my fee and enforce the time limit. I made up a high fee that went higher for an extended time-limit. Used the money to pay down two credit card bills. Took about 2 1/2 weeks of e-mails and was a lot of work going back and forth. I learned a lot and had fun because I won and got paid, otherwise would of been a waste of time.

Got paid within a week once we met an agreement. Made some serious amount of money.

Sony FE 2.0/28 (actually for my birthday on 22nd) and the matching wide-angle-converter.

Son bought me an Instax camera, with several boxes of film. Its instant prints are tiny, but it’s a lot of fun to use. I recall that Cartier-Bresson referred to his camera as a sort of notebook with which to capture his perceptions, and this Instax fits nicely into that definition.

I’m not selling my Leica, Contax, Plaubel, etc. gear just yet, however!

My wife goes through all the photos I've posted on flickr each year and makes a Shutterfly book out of her favorites. I didn't produce much material for her this year - work ate most of my weekends - but she still managed to put one together. I look forward to her editing/order selections each year.

I made sure my 'List' was systemic in nature.
I got a remote release, PD strap anchors and Vello extension tubes to fit my A7ii.
See how that all works out?

Vivint Smart Home video doorbell setup... interface with either a wall panel or remotely by cell phone. Video can be saved, does two-way audio too. Small, looks like a doorbell. :)

Problem is the smart phone app requires a monitoring service that's $50/month. So we stopped in at the store again today with questions, and ultimately cancelled the order. Looks like a great system for a larger home security installation. Still open to doorbell alternatives!
