i tried to look it up on google, but can't find an answer.

my fed-2 (donno which model sorry) on the shutter release there is this indicator which on the right is a "c" and on the left is like a backwards C ... I tried turning the knob around the shutter release but it is loose and doesn't seem to lock in place?

I noticed on some FED-2's it is B <-> C .... right now i turned it into the C mode, but i am not sure what i am doing?

thanks

that button is for releasing film when you finish roll and want to rewind it. when you screw it in it is released for rewinding and when it is in his normal higher position it is ready for normal operation.

On mine it says П (перемотка, "rewind") and С (съёмка, "photography"). On those models where it says В-С I don't know what В would stand for, maybe something like выключен "off" (meaning the disengagement of the transport mechanism), but I'm not sure. Anyway, the collar is for disengaging the transport lock when rewinding the film. Remember to keep the lens covered when rewinding.

You can download a manual for free on http://rangefinder.ru/content/download/FED2.pdf if you don't mind that it's in Russian. :)
