The links to my galleries in my signature are in HTML and worked fine before the upgrade. Now the HTML is showing as text. I notice that it is doing this for some others as well. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

Chuck, happened to me as well.
Was pretty easy to fix though: Go back to where you define your signature and re-do it using the link-icon. Basically it seems as if the sigs have to be surrounded by URL-tags now instead of ref-tags.

That worked for the links but how do I rename them to My Gallery and such?

1) Click on the link icon and type in your URL in the pop-up window
2) Hit Enter
3) Your cursor will now be in between the URL-tags and you can just type what you want the link to be named.
4) Repeat 1-3 for any other links in your sig.

... and if I had remembered to place it in comments, it should look like this:

HTML:
My Gallery

I'm now coming into RFF thru a 'backdoor' I cannot access the front page of RFF thru www.rangefinderforum.com I get a notice that

"you would need to provide your own index.php if they don't have to use the home module, because the index.php included with vbportal, just sends them here. "

the top left corner shows an envelope icon and a tag line "ticketyboo" I' m about to die of RFF correction fatigue here.

Rich, thanks. I get a log in page then I fill in my name and password and it loops back to a "refreshed" log in again. There is also a countdown and it says I have used two of my five tries......

this is happening on both my home and work computers so I don't know where this is coming from. I've written Jorge and he suggested deleting all cookies. I did and still no front page. I'll just use this back door, when you delete all your cookies all my banking info; passwords, etc all have to be re-entered. It's a huge rework. The solution is worse than the problem

ooh..don't ever save your bank passwords, etc....who knows who can get access to your computer or laptop... as much as a pain in the ass as it is..those ones I am always happy to just type in every time.. 🙂

I passed on my experience with the entry page yesterday to Jorge, who seemed to think is was caused by old "cookies" in my browser files. I deleted the cookies, but the problem persisted. I am also using a back door to get in.
My gallery address also has problems, but I keep hoping that Jorge will make a blanket "fix" for all of us.

Thanks Rich, I found it.
I typed all that info at the bottom where " My Gallery" used to be and hit " Enter" and what I typed in appeared in the larger box and then what else was I suppose to do?

I still cannot get " My Gallery" like it was before the changeover.

Once you hit ENTER and the link appears in the 'larger' box you can now type the name as you want it to appear in your signature (you may notice that some text is highlighted in the larger box - that's where you should put the text as you want it displayed.

Then save your changes.

Hi -- replace this:
<a href='http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=255'>My Gallery</a>

With this (and put it between [] marks):

url="http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=255"]My Gallery[/url
